  • Full daily buffet breakfasts
  • Three, 3 course dinners
  • 3 hour whale watching boat tour for your chance to see Humpback Whales, Killer Whales/Orcas, White-beaked Dolphins, and Harbour Porpoises

The tour will take you from Reykjavik through the Golden Circle. You'll then travel south east across to the remote seafront village of Vik before spending the next night in a countryside lodge - making the most of the slim chance you could see the famed Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights. Reykjavik

Day by Day

  • Depart from Denver, Colorado on an overnight flight to Reykjavik, Iceland.
  • Arrive in Reykjavik and be greeted by your Tour Manager. Take an introductory walk of Reykjavik and visit the National Museum, followed by a welcome dinner in the evening.
  • Spend the day out on the water exploring the coast during a whale watching tour. See Humpback Whales, Killer Whales/Orcas, White-beaked Dolphins, and Harbour Porpoises during this 3 hour cruise.
  • Experience the Golden Circle with a first stop at Thingvellir National Park where Europe and North America meet in a stunning landscape. Continue onwards to the Geyser hot spring area, we will take a walk and admire the geyser Strokkur and the “Golden waterfall” as well as a chance to experience a secret natural hot spring. Stay overnight in Vik and enjoy dinner all together.
  • Experience the Skaftafell Nature Reserve on a two-hour glacier hike; there's no need to be in particular good shape for this activity, but you’ll have crampons and axes for support. Then, carry onwards to the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon with its floating icebergs before returning to Vik.
  • Visit the black sand beach and admire the basalt columns on the sand that rise from the sea. Then continue on to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you’re able to walk behind the cascading water. Then take in some stunning views over the Hekla volcano on route to your second waterfall stop – the majestic Skógafoss with its streaming glacier water. Spend the evening in a countryside lodge in hope of seeing the Aurora Borealis and enjoy dinner in the evening.
  • Visit another hot spring area in the morning and later tour the Reykjanesbaer peninsula. Then head back to Reykjavik airport for your return flights in the evening.
  • Arrive back in Denver, Colorado.
