Day by Day

  • Depart on an overnight flight to Shannon, Ireland.
  • Be greeted at the airport by your Tour Manager before travelling on to Galway. Along the way, make a stop at the famed natural Irish wonder of the Cliffs of Moher. Stay overnight in Galway.
  • Take a day trip across to the rugged Aran Islands, where all natives of the islands speak Gaelic. Explore the prehistoric hill fort of Dun Aengus as well as the Seven Churches. Return to Galway in the early evening.
  • Travel south to Tralee and Killarney and, while en route, explore a Celtic ring-fort and the unique limestone landscape of the Burren, sacred to the ancient people of Ireland. Stay overnight in Killarney.
  • Tour around the rugged Dingle Peninsula via Slea Head. Visit Gallarus and see the ancient stone huts which were believed to have been constructed between the 7th and 12th century. Return to Killarney.
  • Travel on to Waterford making a stop at the famous Blarney Castle. Get to know Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, on a walking tour and discover the seaside port town which was founded by Vikings in 914 A.D. Stay overnight in Waterford.
  • Travel north to Kilkenny and learn all about the history of the Normans. You’ll also have time to visit St. Canice Cathedral and Kilkenny Castle before heading on to Dublin, the lively capital city of the Republic of Ireland. Stay overnight in Dublin.
  • Explore Dublin on a guided sightseeing tour and learn all about the monumental Easter Rising event (or Easter Rebellion), which was the staged rebellion against the British government in Ireland on Easter Monday 1916. Make visits to the former prison Kilmainham Gaol, which is now an important Dublin museum. Stay overnight in Dublin.
  • Transfer to the Northern Ireland city of Belfast, and spend time at the famous Titanic maritime museum as well as enjoying the Belfast Murals Tour. Stay overnight in Belfast.
  • Enjoy a free day in Belfast, or take the optional day excursion to the north coast to explore the amazing stone formations of Giants Causeway and see the famous area noted for their strange interlocking basalt columns which is the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. Regroup all together in the evening for a Farewell Dinner in Belfast.
  • Transfer to Belfast or Dublin airport for your return flight home.
