Day by Day

  • Depart on an overnight flight from Louisville International Airport to London Heathrow.
  • Arrive in London and be greeted at the airport by your Tour Manager. Transfer to your central London hotel accommodation with an included stop-off along the way at the RAF museum. Get out and about and explore London on a guided sightseeing tour led by an expert local Blue Badge guide. This WWII themed guided tour also includes entrance to St Paul’s Cathedral along with a Buckingham Palace photo stop. Next up is entrance and a guided sightseeing tour inside Westminster Abbey before you all sit down to a delicious Welcome Dinner in the evening.
  • Get the day off to a great start with a walk across the Tower Bridge before enjoying entrances to the Tower of London, Churchill's War Room and the Imperial War Museum. Your Tour Manager will then lead you on a walk to discover Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden. Enjoy some afternoon free time before regrouping for dinner at night.
  • Depart in the morning for Portsmouth and make the most of your included entrances to the D-Day Museum and Historic Dockyards. Sit down for dinner before you board your overnight ferry, Normandy bound.
  • Welcome to France! You’ll arrive into Caen harbor in the morning and then it’s time to hit the road; starting at Eglise St Mere you’ll make your way east discovering Point du Hoc, Longues Sur Mere Batteries, Arromanche Museum and the American Cemetery. Take a walk along Omaha Beach, one of the landing sites during the invasion of Normandy and take a moment at the Omaha Memorial. You’ll end the day at Caen Memorial before dinner at night.
  • Travel to Luxembourg via Reims and enjoy an included entrance to Reims Cathedral and the 7th May Rendition Museum. Once arrived in Luxembourg, all sit down to a delicious dinner before making the most of some free time in the evening.
  • Pay your respects at the American Cemetery in Luxembourg before you continue on to Bastogne, Belgium. Visit Bastogne War Museum before discovering the city on a Tour Manager led walk. Dinner at night.
  • Learn more about this monumental city on a guided sightseeing tour of Bastogne and important WWII sites. Make the most of an included entrance to the 101st Airborne Museum “Le Mess”. Dinner at night.
  • Time to head to the Netherlands as you travel to Amsterdam via the American Cemetery at Malgraten. Arrive into Amsterdam in the afternoon and get out and about on a walking tour of the old Jewish Quarters. Visit the Resistance Museum and Hollandse Schouwburg. In the evening, see the city from the canals as you enjoy a canal boat cruise and dinner.
  • Spend your morning discovering the Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank’s house with your included entrance. After, be led by a WWII specialized guide on a sightseeing walk visiting important landmarks of Amsterdam. Afternoon free time and dinner in the evening.
  • Travel to Hannover, Germany with an included stop along the way at the Bergen-Belsen Memorial. Dinner at night.
  • Make your way to Berlin via a Sachsenhausen Memorial tour. Once in Berlin, tick a Reichstag Dome tour off your list before enjoying dinner all together at night.
  • Be led by an expert local guide on a guided sightseeing tour of important WWII sights including the Holocaust Memorial (with admission into Holocaust Museum), Vorbunker/Fuhrer Bunker, the Book Burning Plaza, Valkyrie Shooting Memorial and the Topography of Terror/Berlin Wall. Entrance to the Berliner Unterwelten, a museum exploring the city's underground history with a focus on WWII bunkers is also included. Wrap it all up with a Farewell Dinner at night.
  • Transfer to Berlin airport for your return flights home.
