Day by Day

  • Fly overnight from USA to Lisbon, Portugal.
  • Arrive in Lisbon and be greeted at the airport by your Tour Manager. Once you’ve checked-in to your central hotel, beat the jetlag on a Tour Manager led introduction walk in Alfama before tucking into a delicious Welcome Dinner in the evening.
  • Spend your morning discovering the must-see sights of Lisbon on a guided sightseeing tour led by an expert local guide. Visit the National Museum of Contemporary Art in the afternoon. Wrap the day up with a Fado performance dinner at night.
  • Travel north to Porto via Coimbra and discover the medieval capital of Portugal. Marvel at Coimbra’s multi-colored collage of buildings that tumble down the bank of the Rio Mondego and enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the Old Town. Take some time for lunch before you continue onward to Porto where you’ll sit down to a typical Portuguese-style dinner at night.
  • Start the day with a cruise along with Douro River before you take to the streets on a Tour Manager led walk of Porto. Get lost among the narrow cobbled streets that wind past merchants’ houses along the Douro River. Enjoy dinner at night in the Old Town.
  • Travel to the Galicia region of Spain. Visit the pilgrimage site of Cathedral Santiago de Compostela for a guided sightseeing tour before you continue onwards to A Coruña at the very north-western tip of Spain. Dinner at night.
  • Enjoy a stroll on the beach and discover the local A Coruña fish market where you can find the best seafood that the Galicia region has to offer. Visit “Hercules Tower” lighthouse, an ancient Roman lighthouse overlooking the city and the Atlantic Ocean. Dinner at night.
  • Travel to San Sebastian via Bilbao and a visit to the world-famous Guggenheim Museum. Evening walk through San Sebastian Old Town with dinner at night.
  • Boat excursion to Santa Clara island. Free time in the afternoon in San Sebastian. Dinner at night.
  • Travel to Barcelona via Zaragoza and visit Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar. Arrive in Barcelona and enjoy a tapas-style dinner before being entertained by an evening Flamenco performance.
  • Guided sightseeing of Barcelona with entrance to Gaudi’s Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia. Afternoon walking tour of Gotico, the Gothic Old Town, with a visit to Boqueria market. Entrance to Picasso Museum. Dinner in the Old Town at night.
  • Take a day excursion to Figueres and enjoy your included entrance to the Dali Theater and Museum. Make a stop in Girona for a Tour Manager guided walk and free time. Dinner back in Barcelona at night.
  • Transfer to Barcelona airport for your return flight home.

For single travelers, single room supplement is available. As a Group Leader you may upgrade to a single room free of charge.


• Triple Room Rate is for travelers sharing one room with three single beds. Twin/Double Room Rate is for travelers sharing one room with either two single beds (Twin) or a double bed (Double - adults only). Solo travelers who chose either the Triple or Twin/Double rooming option can specify who they would like to share a room with when they enroll otherwise they will be matched into room formations based on age and gender.
• Rates do not include gratuities, excess airline luggage fees, nor transport to/from USA airport.
• Rates are based on no/little fluctuation in the exchange rate between USD and Euros. Should the USD weaken significantly towards the Euro a correction in tour price would be done accordingly.
• The minimum amount of paying travelers is normally around 20-26 for this tour type.
